Not exactly sure about a ringing noise, but my Norcold makes a beeping sound if the RV batteries are low, and the fridge is running on gas with no electric available.

Our fridge is in our slide out. When the temperature hits 90 degrees F. a fan near the top of the vent automatically comes on. This can be heard when the fridge is open to get something out. Could this be what you are hearing?

outside at the access panel i can hear a slight buzzing when its running on AC (never tried it on LP yet). Sounds like its coming from the control board
