North Carolina camping

I live around Winston Salem NC, getting my first camper in a couple weeks. 174bh. Any good places people can recommend for my first trip.

Welcome

We stayed in the Cross Winds Family Campground (Linwood NC) a couple of times. The first time was with a FMCA Chapter for a rally and the second was on our way to 4 Paws Kingdom Campground (Rutherfordton, NC). Both places were nice when we stayed there. 4 Paws is under new ownership so not sure how their service has been impacted.

In NC we have also stayed at RVacation (Selma), the KOA in Wilmington and Camp Hatteras (Rodanthe/Waves) and the KOA inn Rodanthe/Waves.

We have not had a bad experience at any of the NC campgrounds we have stayed at.

You do not mention how long you want to stay or how far you want to drive for the shakedown.

Remember, things will happen and it is all part of the adventure.

Enjoy.

Have you considered Mayberry Campground in Mt. Airy?

I forgot about Greystone RV park in Pinnacle, NC. We stayed there a couple of times and it is a great place.
