Numbers from the CAT scale today for my Eagle 314BDS and F150.
Rear axle GAWR #4050 weighed #3880
Front axle GAWR #3750 weighed #3540
GVWR truck #7650 #weighed #7420
Weighed tongue weight at dealer @#1030
GWCR #17100 weighed #14700
Trailer axle weighed #7280 (sticker on camper says #8000)
Ratings on axles are with p rated tires @35psi and i have "E" rated 50 psi
Took the camper back to dealer to adjust WDH and we took it up a ring and adjusted where the bars rest so it sat evenly in the saddle. Made all the difference made the truck and TT fell a whole lot better. Let me know what you guys think.

Hi Eric, very...very nice trailer!
I wanted the same unit but had to back off due to the weight of it....couldn't pull that with 2012 Laramie.

Looks pretty good to me. Nice rig too! Good balance front and rear. I'd be curious what your unloaded truck and hitched but wd disconnected figures would look like.

Everything except clothes in camper, and it was just me in the truck. Will be very close with wife and 2 small kids. Plan on packing as much stuff as i can in the bunkhouse as possible (chairs, clothes, and food). We do not carry anything in the tanks as 90% of our camping is full hook up, when there is not any water hookup we wait till we get there and then fill up. When we go on long trips we wait till we get there to get food and drinks at a local grocery store or Wal-Mart. Trips less than an hour or two we take food with us and will have to be a little careful as how we load up.

Eric,
Very nice set up!
i'm curious about a couple things as well. being that i'll be going thru this as soon as mine shows up.
what hitch set up do you have? are you running sway control?
and by "took it up a ring", you have one less ring between your snap up bracket and bars?
i only ask because you numbers to me, a novice, looked pretty good. only a little over 8% more on the rear axle. or were you hoping to acheive a little more weight distributed to the front axle anticipating a heavier set up when you're loaded for camping and not just fine tuning the initial set up?

I am using a Reese dual cam with sway WDH with 1200lb bars, yes to your question in regards to the ring (3 rings hanging) more tension. When i first brought it home 2 weeks ago the front end of my truck seemed a little light so today the hitch guy rode with me and decide to rise the tension up one more ring and made the truck and TT feel a lot better. Someday down the road i will get a 3/4 ton truck but for now i wanted to make sure i was safe and with in the numbers for my TV and TT as my wife would kill me if i got a new truck when mine is less than a year old.

i have the reese dual cam with the 1200 bars as well. didn't know how close to actually shoot for having front to rear axle weight ratios. your numbers looked really good. and it helps knowing that the ride quality was noticeably better after you adjusted.
thanks for the info, reading and researching all i can. because like you the truck has to wait. next year maybe. but deffinetly not the same year as the camper!

Reese is pretty explicit in their instructions on how to adjust their hitches. They recommend a specific number of links and it consists of returning the front of the truck to the original height or according to the spec in the owners manual, or retuning the weight on the front axle to original weight. I read posts all the time about guys who have adjusted their hitches "by feel" or until the truck "drives better", or it just "feels right". This may give you a false sense of safety, but unless the hitch is adjusted to spec, you just don't know if it's right and the end result is poor handling, maybe not until you get into adverse driving conditions, or excessive wear on your tires and suspension system.
Another thing that is a common misconception, is the purpose of the WD is to return the correct weight to the front of the truck, not to level it.

The front is within the 1" or less of original height when not hooked up to trailer and well within the 2" margin for the rear.

mine will be adjusted per the insturctions recomendations and measurements from the vehicle. as well as a couple trips to the local CAT scales..
"feeling", and "level" aside i plan to do it right. or as right as i'm capable of acheiveing..

Eric,
Good information derived at the CAT scale, but as you are aware to confirm all your weights and your WDH adjustment three passes over the CAT scale will be required under your final loaded conditions (reference prior "CAT Scale how to" link). As you suspected, once you get your TV/TT combination completly loaded for camping your weights are going to start closing in on your TV weight limits.
Just a couple thoughts that may be of help as you dial-in your TV/TT:
* When referencing WDH chain links, refer to chain links "under tension", counting chain links hanging could through you off if the two chains are different lengths (doesn't happen often, but is possible).
* As you implied, with the late model F-Series trucks Ford is the only manufacture that states for 2011 and newer trucks that the WDH should be adjusted to eliminate about 50% of the front end RISE..., same as returning at least 50% of the weight originally removed. Returning the front suspension back to it's original height and/or weight is acceptable as well.
* If your Reese Strait-Line Dual Cam uses trunnion spring bars, they don't have to be set parallel to the A-frame. In most cases after adjustment they will be angled downward ..., perfectly fine. If they are the round spring bars then parallel is ideal, but a "slight" downward angle is ok.
* After making any WDH adjustments...., drive to a parking lot and put your TV/TT into a turn, then get out and inspect for any WDH component binding and for adequate clearances.
* Your E-Rated tires were a smart move (LT's ?).
Feel free to post side view pics (close-ups) of your WDH if you would like a second pair of eyes on the set-up.
