% Off MSRP for 2017 26BH Factory Order

Just wondering what % people are getting discounted off of MSRP for a 2017 26BH factory order? I am working on a deal right now with an online wholesaler that is currently at a 39.5% discount. The MSRP matches the Jayco website. I think I am doing quite well. It is almost a $25,000 trailer and the quoted price is at about $15,000 right now. This also includes a fairly generous trade allowance for my old trailer. I think I may be getting ready to order!

The high volume dealers can always get you a better price point.

I'm confused. Is the trailer $15,000 with or without the trade?

We just ordered a 2017 Jayco 28 BHBE from our local dealer and we managed to get 25% off the MSRP and did not pay the delivery fee or any dealer prep fees.

I think you should work the best deal you can that you are comfortable with. All that matters is the out-the-door price you are happy with.

We sold our 2013 Jayco 26BH outright and got a better deal than what was offered as a trade in. We posted it and it was sold in about two weeks.

$15,000 without the trade. I thought this was a pretty good price considering i've been seeing used 26BH's privately for sale that are MY 2013 or newer going for only a couple thousand less than that.

I thought about selling our current TT privately, but I would make out about the same if I sold it or traded it. If traded, the sales tax for the new unit is calculated based on the difference of the trade in value and the purchase price of the new trailer. Therefore, when traded, the sales tax i'm charged is considerably less than a straight purchase. If I take the savings on sales tax and add it to what they are giving me for a trade, it brings me to the price that I would be asking for my trailer on the private market. So, it's basically just a bunch more work for me to sell it outright. If the sales tax wasn't calculated that way, I would definitely sell it myself.

Something to keep in mind is, if warranty work is needed, who will do that work ? It is my understanding that if you purchase from an online wholesaler your local dealership has no obligation to honor your claim. Many dealers will work on one of these wholesale purchases but only AFTER they finish their purchasing customers. Is this right ? I can't answer that but I do feel it is fair. Just something to think about.

oldnnew. That sounds like a great deal to me.
I didn't know that about the sales tax savings on trade ins. Thanks for the tip!

Lolead. Good point about online or distant sales.
From what I've learned here, Jayco is exelent regarding warranty work.
I've heard they will authorize other RV repair shops if no dealer is available.

Can you please tell us what options are included for the $15K?

When we ordered our 2016 26BH late last year the dealer was advertising them at a sale price of $15,995 and the only option included was the "Chill 'N Stor" outdoor mini fridge.

We ordered ours with every option available except the television or bumper mount grill. We did not have a trade, after taxes and fees we were still under $20K. The dealer also through in the Reese dual cam sway WDH with installation, Tekonsha brake controller with installation and a RhinoFlex 20' sewer hose kit. We also got a coupon in with all the paperwork for 10% off a purchase in the on site outdoor store for any other accessories / supplies we needed.

Our local dealership IS the wholesaler (Buffalo RV which is RV One). I only live 30 minutes away so I think it should work out good.

The 26BH we were quoted has the 15K BTU A/C, electric stabilizing jacks, Thermal Package, Aluminum Rims, Roof ladder, Elite package, and 5-way power remote. The deal includes switching over my current WDH. Sounds like you negotiated some goodies into your deal Duke.
