OK, how do I get this off?
This may seem a stupid question, but... maybe somebody else has been this route, and can help me out.
How do I remove this light fitting from the ceiling, without breaking it?
It's on a Jayfeather 19XUD, and I want to add an extra LED fitting in the couch/slide area... It seemed like a perfectly simple idea to pick up 12v from the back of the existing light (see picture)... But it seems that it's not intended to come out. Is it just jammed into the hole, is it glued on, or is it never intended to be removed, ever?
I've tried all the obvious subtle approaches...pushed, pulled, twisted, cursed, jumped up and down and yelled at it, threatened it with sticks... to no avail.
The obvious technique would seem to be to stick something long and thin under the edge and lever it out... but the panel's made of Jayco's usual pressed cardboard, and the light fitting is thin plastic, so I'm afraid something's going to break and leave me with a messy repair.
Any clues would be much appreciated, before I go ahead and break something.
