One key fits all...
...so then what's the other key for? When I purchased my 2018 Jayco Jay Flight SLX 212QBW the salesperson told me that one key fits everything. And when he showed me the trailer he used the key on the entry door and storage access doors. But after I signed the papers I was handed two "sets" of keys. That's right, sets. Each ring had two keys on it. They gray one that seems to fit everything and a small black key that I have no idea what it goes to!
Anyone else know what the second key goes to?

On my White Hawk the black key opens up the little door to the outside shower. Do you have an outdoor shower?

Our Mesa Ridge TT has "one key" as well, we got two of the gray tab keys, each work ALL the locks, even the outside shower/water connection door.

I believe its the key to the nearest service center. From what I read on this forum you may need it. On a serious note...not sure. I also have that same black key.

I was really wishing one key did fit all but on my White Hawk the black key is for the outside shower and the other key unlocks everything else.

The other thought I had. Does the spare tire possibly have a lock on it??
I do not see the full cut of the key, the little bit I do see, makes me think it is an ignition key, but that makes absolutely no sense in a TT.

Agree with all the above. You could open the outside shower with a fingernail or a pocket knife or by wiggling it around a bit, so, while you technically don't need the key, it was for that shower door.

You can contact Bauer lock company and get a lock keyed of your gray tab key for a few bucks that will replace the outdoor shower lock for you owners that "need" the 2 keys.

I verified it tonight on my jayflight. The black key will open the shower. However the gray key will also. So throw the black key in the drawer and forget about it !

I did the same. I ordered extra keys from Bauer so I would have a couple of spares, and at the same time I ordered a cylinder lock from Bauer cored to the same key number.
As delivered, any key, knife, fingernail or wind will open the outside shower door because the lock rotates in its mount. I'm not so worried about security of my shower (although I did read about kids playing with the shower knobs and draining tanks while boondocking, which would suck if the water heater ran dry...). It's just that on at least 2 trips the door opened itself during travel and was flopping around.
I had to grind the Bauer cylinder slightly for fit, but otherwise it works very securely, and everything is indeed on one key now.

My black key was also for the outside shower door, which I replaced with a keyless latch. Afterwards, I just tossed the black key.

The gray key fits my outside shower access door as well as both locks on the main door (yes to deadbolt). The gray key has teeth on both sides, whereas the black key, only one, like a typical key. But yeah, sounds like some of us have an extra key that seems to go to nothing!

So I wonder if in 2018 (or maybe sooner?) they decided to make the outside shower key the same as all the other locks, but were still issuing "standard shower lock keys"? Okay, now I'm overthinking it. However I am pretty confident I can at least take that key off my ring now. =)
