Opinions on Jayfeather micro 199mbs

Hi, looking to purchase 2022 jayco feather 199mbs loaded.
Quality looks great compared to my other brand. Yes found exact same floorplan/layout in another brand for $15k cheaper....but never having owned a Jayco not sure.
For all Jayco owners is the higher price worth it?

I am on my second Jayco. First one I owned for 10 years, and never had a problem. Jayfeather 16v, (20’, bunk beds, bath, shower, micro, the works.) I just purchased, and have used off road and in full service campground, a Jayco Micro 171bh. Jayco cost more but I think you will be happy with the quality. That said, EVERY trailer is built by unskilled labor (strictly an opinion) and you will find (and have to fix) poor workmanship. But that work was for cabinetry, interior stuff. The overall structure, roof, frame, water tanks etc held up very well. Hope this helps.

Like the Lizard I have a 171BH and it is awesome, but yes, workmanship is meh. However, no matter what, if you go to the owners forum of that brand you will find that no brand is more premium than another. If I had more space to park I would probably have the 199MBS or a rockwood mini lite which is in my opinion a more “loaded” trailer AND at that weight has a double axel. However, the Ember has ZERO wood and CURT independent suspension, etc….so that is a tough one!

Hey every one. Totally new to owning a trailer. Bout my 171BH micro feather a month ago. Just a couple questions to start. The fridge, when I am driving, it beeps. I thought this had 12v as well, am I wrong, or can I drive with the propane on, and keep it running? Second. What is the max tv size will the outside mount hold?

Welcome to the Forum from Western New York State!

If you have the optional 8 cu/ft refrigerator, it will be 12 volts only, with no propane power. With the standard equipment 6 cu. ft. gas/electric refrigerator it is 120 volts or propane only.

There are many threads about driving with the propane on. Some do, and some don't. Personally, I do not, but you'll get another thousand opinions either way. Your manual may give you some direction for your model.

Ok. That is good info. What about the out door tv mount that came with the trailer. I know the salesman told me the max size, but I can’t recall what it was.
