Our Eagle has Come Home!!

My wife and I have been counting down the days for our PDI on a brand new 2013 Eagle 314BDS.

The day has come and we finally brought it home:

Durign our PDI, we found a few minor bugs that were dealt with during the inspection. Now that we got it home, we found a few bolts coming through the linoleum in the kitchen area.
We brought it back to our dealer a few days later. We got the call to tell us that the linoleum needs to be replaced. They ordered the roll of linoleum which will be here in a few weeks. We will need to leave it with our dealer for another 2 weeks while they replace linoleum.
The bolts that are coming through have stretched the linoleum so much, that they can not lay it flat, so they are replacing all of it. This means they are removing our entertainment center at the end of the bed which is why they say it will take about two weeks for the repairs.

Other than that, all is well and we are taking it out for the first camping trip on Mother's Day Weekend with the grandkids 6yo and 2yo. They are just as excited as we are. They were sad to learn we had to get rid of (trade-in) our JayFLight 25RKS that they have come to know all of their lives.

They quickly realized how much better their lives will once they saw all the room they have in the bunkhouse area.

Hope you get your flooring problems corrected to your satisfaction and get your TT back in time for your first camp out scheduled for Mother's Day weekend. However, don't be too disappointed if it takes longer to repair than you were told. Many times repairs take much longer than anticipated. Whenever you get it back, enjoy!

My goodness, that thing is beautiful! Huge, as well! The G'kids can play hide & seek inside, and take all day finding each other. Congratulations! Sorry you have flooring issues, but it sounds like your dealer is taking care of you. Happy Mother's Day camping!

Very nice. How does it do behind your TV?

Congrats on the BEAUTIFUL new trailer - we have the exact same model and we love it. Our kids too were sad the day we traded in the old 1994 Jayco Jay-Series 3250 FK, but they soon got over it once they got to playing in the "kid cave"

Hope you enjoy yours as much as we do ours.

Thank you everyone. We absolutely love this new TT and look forward to taking it out for the first time.

SouthCo - To answer your question, I have only towed it from our dealer to our house which is about 20 miles. I then towed it back to the dealer and back home again, so I only have about 60 miles of towing it with F150.
My F150 is 2006 with almost 200,000 miles. The truck does pretty well on the flat roads that I have been on. The wind is something that I will need to get use to.
Our Last TT was JayFlight 25RKS and it did not sit as high or nearly as long as the new Eagle 314BDS. Even with the Equal-i-zer system, there is some sway with higher winds (20 - 25mph), but all in all, I am pretty pleased.
I know I need at least an F250, but after this purchase, it may not be until next year.

I agree, very nice Eagle TT

Your TV may not be ideal, but a visit to a CAT scale will at least optimize your present TV/TT combination under loaded conditions. The CAT results will also confirm that the Equal-i-zer is sized/adjusted properly...., may reduce some of (or eliminate) that sway you are experiencing.

Well seeing that pic now I wonder how long the 338 I ordered is going to look to me behind my truck. The rig looks great, I hope you get all the bugs worked out and begin to settle in and relax at the campground. Good luck and great camping
