Our New 23MB

We picked up our new (and first) TT yesterday! We take her out for a maiden voyage next Friday. Can't wait. I'm sure as a newbie I will only have 100 more questions before then.

Isn't she cute?

Very nice. We were up in the air between the 23mb or the 264bhw. Got the 26, but still like that 23!

Congrats! You've got the same trailer we're picking up Tuesday. This will be our first travel trailer as well, but not our first RV. Have fun on your maiden trip and post more pictures!

My family just picked up a 23MB a couple weeks ago. We love how there's no wasted space. The MB is very nice. Our maiden voyage is in 2 weeks. It's funny, our trucks look identical as well!

How funny/neat is that. Hope we don't end up at the same campground. I'm already paranoid that I won't know which campsite is ours some time.

I'm paranoid as well. It's the first time towing anything this big.

FYI- the only thing I do not like about the trailer is that the door holder on the outside of the camper is plastic & in a bad spot. Ours is already broken... If the door were reversed or the awning a couple feet longer, the problem would be solved. The door can not be opened up past 90 degrees when the awning is out! Anyone have a solution besides a bungy cord?

Pcschwenke;

To reverse a door on a travel trailer is a No, No. Can you imagining flying open at 100 km an hour?

The door holder on the 195RB is also a poor design (very weak point in the lower right corner of the door). I used a standard hook but then from stainless steel. The hook arm I installed right beside the extractable arms of the awning and the eye about a 12" under the lock. Use a clip for the hook during travel position. I had the parts my self. Maybe you can find something at a RV dealer.

The door hits the awning support or rubs the awning material?

We raise the door end of our awning near to max and leave the other end down a few notches to encourage drainage away from the door area.

If the door hits the awning support that seems like a bit of inconvenient design, although I guess not really fatal.

Have fun with your new rig.

I love it! Congrats on your new TT and enjoy your first voyage. We had our new 23MBH out on a long maiden voyage earlier this spring and loved every minute. We are super anxious to get out again even if it's just a weekend at a nearby CG. Have fun!!!

We love our camper too, no doubt. Just a minor issue with the door latch. I did buy 90 degree stainless replacement latches that I'll have to modify to work. No big deal. Have fun with your 23MB!
