We use a pressure cooker that was my Mom's. She gave it to us about 30 years ago and it was probably 20 years old then. Between that and a slow cooker (crock pot) we can make almost anything.

We use the campfire and a 3 burner Camp Chef stove and have never cooked in the trailer. We use cast iron frying pans and dutch oven. It's more challenging but nothing beats the flavour of cooking on the fire. For coffee the Coleman drip coffee maker works well.

We use a 5 year old Weber Q100...works great for the wife and I and has easily maintainable and repairable parts. But I've been wanting to get a Weber Jumbo Joe so I can cook with charcoal/hardwood. I love cooking with hardwood!

We only use a gas grill. Charcoal is not allowed in the majority of the places we camp anymore...mainly because of the drought and fire danger. Since switching to gas no way would i go back to charcoal with all extra mess and clean up. I can't tell any difference in taste and gas works better for lots of things. We can use for frying..pressure cooker...crock style..what ever.

I really like to eat so we use everything!! Campfire, Weber 220, outside kitchen cooktop, Dutch oven, camper oven, and microwave. Sometimes when we are serving a crowd we will use it all at the same time. I do prefer cooking over the fire but when mother nature doesn't cooperate it is nice to be able to cook breakfast inside too.

I know for me..Gatlingurg and pigeon forge are one in the same. It like one continuous line of business trying to figure out how to get in my pocket.

Yea, I know there a small break between...but not much.

That's what I'm sayin'. With just me and DW most of the time, not cooking anything gourmet, I just couldn't see taking all the extra time, energy and mess for charcoal. Our baby Weber using disposable canisters (always carry a hose to hook into main tank if I need it) does great for us, fast and easy!

We have a older Coleman 3 burner converted to propane, and use a 5 year old Weber Q 100. Works for us

For now I am using the propane grill that came with the Greyhawk. When it wears out I'll look into other options. I like Weber grills and have one on the deck at home.

I'm using the grill that came with the GH31ss, not overly impressed with it but it does work and is easier than charcoal or the cast iron stuff. I'm wanting a Weber Q as well, maybe Santa will bring one. LOL

Cast Iron and the fire

We use a cast iron dutch oven for most of our cooking, and a cast iron griddle for the remaining food, a large stainless steel french press for coffee. All cooking is done over the fire, although we use the trailer stove to heat water for coffee. We do not do any cooking inside the trailer. For example, breakfast often consists of sausage cooked in the dutch oven, then stir in eggs and put either corn bread batter or biscuit mix on top. Veggies, such as onions, squash, and peppers can be fixed by seasoning, wrapping in aluminium foil, and roasted over the fire. We did corn that way for last Labor Day and it worked out well too.

After 25 years of camping, 4 pop-ups on the second TT. I think I have come up with the right combination of gear for me. A mid sized Weber Q, 22" Blackstone griddle and 2 portable Butane Stoves. Sounds like a lot of gear but I don't cook inside the TT.

The Weber is great for chicken, kabobs, steaks, corn on the cob ect..
Blackstone Griddle is great for burgers , steaks, hash browns, bacon, eggs..ect..
Butane Stoves - boiling water for pasta, rice, oatmeal ect..

Bought the Griddle at the end of the last season, best camping cooking tool ever!! I first bought a 17" griddle, found it to be a little small, found a 22" model this spring for a great price - the perfect size!!

Majority of our main dishes are cooked over the fire on a tripod grill.

We got a butane stove for under $20, canisters are $2 each and last about 1 1/2 hours. Absolutely great for a quick breakfast or some smokey item like bacon out on the picnic table.

They take up a minimum of room and weight (about 2 lbs), mine has been trouble free and simple to use. Open the little hatch, drop in a can of butane, close it and it lights with a push button. Take out the canister when done. It seals itself back up.

We have even brought it to keep items hot while barbecuing in the back yard.

I have had a party king grill mounted on the back of my camper with a swing arm for about 3 years now and love it!! Very simple set up and it connects to the camper propane supply. No packing up needed just swing it back and pin it and your on the road!!
