Outdoor speakers? put a 6" where 5" was?

Anyone go bigger on their outside speakers? How much work involved?

I have a Jayco 2013 28DSBH, one of the outside 5" speakers is broken, I can get 6" Marine speakers from work

I'd rather not get it all apart and find out, oh shi#, can't do it. I have no problem making the hole a little bigger if that's all it takes.

Quick update, the front most speaker, can't go any larger, deeper, kitchen cabinets are directly behind it. The rear speaker could go larger/deeper, behind the hole is the refrigerator, there appeared to be enough room to put a larger speaker in there. I just put 5/5.25" back in, both were blown, more sun damaged than anything. .

I was going to replace my outside speakers and my daughter introduced me to the BLUETOOTH speakers from WALMART...

These are boss and have rechargeable batteries in the them. Can go anywhere within 25-feet or so around my trailer and still work... Sounds great.

WALMART has several types to pick from...

I work for one of the BT speaker makers, and speaker maker, I couldn't have a blown speaker in my ride. My Favorite BT speaker is the JBL Extreme and the Pulse, wink, wink.

We have a 2012 28dsbh and one of the outdoor speakers blew and I'm trying to figure out the size. How did you measure it?

You think the STX 828S is overkill?

There's pretty much only 2 sizes for a round marine speaker, 5 1/4" or 6.5", the grill measures near 5 3/4 so I know I don't have the 6.5" in there. Just find a pair of $20-25 marine speakers off amazon or ebay and you'll be fine. Don't forget to caulk.
