Has anyone or is it even possible to replace the tongue jack pad with a outrigger pad for a larger surface area? Just a thought that popped in my head this morning.
There are lots on the market! What do you have for a camper?
I use a bare post, and made a multilevel wood block with sheet copper in the areas the post sits on. If I am in softer soil, I place 2 pieces of plywood (6x12") blocking side by side under the block to spread the weight out over a larger area. Works nice

If you have a manufactured home supply store nearby, check to see if they stock the pvc base pads used in set-up. They're 16" x16"x 1 1 /4 " or so and relatively inexpensive. Stack a couple of pads, topped with a treated 2"x8"x16" and you're good.
