Outside Cable Connection Out

Why in the world didn't they put a place to hook up your tv cable out on the outside of my 32 TSBH? It is not a real big deal. I just run a splitter off the cg cable and hook one to the TT cable in, and run another cable over under the awning. My 2001 Wildwood had one just outside the door. It was really handy. Is this typical of most Jayco models?

I have an outlet in the bedroom, the living room and in a basement bay. I am guessing it depends on the model.

We have an outside cable connection near the city water inlet. Both previous trailers also had outside connections. Not sure why yours doesn't. Could there be one somewhere kind of partially hidden ? Maybe an email to Jayco would be in order, to find out.

Maybe you want to install an outlet? I've put in one on a trailer I used to have; it is extremely easy to do. As with all trailer mods, just be sure to check and double check where you intend to drill a hole, BEFORE you drill the hole ... and find something you did not want to find.

Here's the type of outlet I installed: single outlet

We have one on our trailer. Never seen a trailer without a hookup.

Some of the comments don't seem to realize kackeer is referring to an cable OUTLET not the input connector.

OK, you're right, I misunderstood. On the outside of my trailer, there are INPUT hookups for satellite, cable, and telephone, but no place to hook up a television that would sit on a table outside the RV. We never had a TV outside, so that didn't register correctly. Sorry. Guess I learned something today. It probably would be fairly easy to install an outlet somewhere that you could easily get to the backside, like inside a compartment adjacent to the hatch.

In the fall when camping on the weekends, I always enjoy watching football out under the awning while having a cold one. I still can, as I use a splitter coming off the cg cable box. Run one to the cable inlet and another directly to the tv under the awning. By doing it that way, I just have another thing for someone to trip over.

I usually carry an extra length of RG cable and a power splitter with a short RG cable on the input of it. I usually just hook this up to the pedestal and connect my regular cable TV hookup to one side and then run the extension under the trailer to sitting area. Works out great for us...

On my 330rlts I made brackets to go on the factory outside grill rails for my tv and installed a exterior jack just below bbq grill rails along bottom trailer skirt and ran coax wire up to front compartment of trailer where I ran wire up into cabinet where my bedroom tv hookup is and just ran a split connection, now I can watch tv from outside trailer and it is under awning to protect it.I have no intention of cooking on the outdoor grill in that location anyway , I would rather get a bumper mount grill

I made a table for just the same place using the bracket made to attach to the grill rail. When I install my tv wall mounts in both the bedroom and the bunkhouse, I plan on installing one tv onto the wall mount without removing the tv base. The one wall mount I bought allows easy removal of the tv from the mount, then just slide it back in. This way, I just remove from the wall mount, take outside and put on the table, then when I'm done just slide it back into the wall mount.

Unless they forgot to install the cable connection, your cable hook-up is on the driver's side near the city water and black tank flusher. It has a white plastic cover over it.

Been wanting to do the same thing. Where did you find the brackets to make the shelf for the tv? I have looked online, in catalogs and in rv stores and I can not find the part.

That's what is great about a lot of the 5th wheelers we have been looking at. A lot of them have a place for an outside tv and all the hookups. It is football season now and we can't travel without the satellite. lol
I guess that is what we call "roughing it!"
