Outside Cable Connection Out

Why in the world didn't they put a place to hook up your tv cable out on the outside of my 32 TSBH? It is not a real big deal. I just run a splitter off the cg cable and hook one to the TT cable in, and run another cable over under the awning. My 2001 Wildwood had one just outside the door. It was really handy. Is this typical of most Jayco models?

I have an outlet in the bedroom, the living room and in a basement bay. I am guessing it depends on the model.

We have an outside cable connection near the city water inlet. Both previous trailers also had outside connections. Not sure why yours doesn't. Could there be one somewhere kind of partially hidden ? Maybe an email to Jayco would be in order, to find out.

Maybe you want to install an outlet? I've put in one on a trailer I used to have; it is extremely easy to do. As with all trailer mods, just be sure to check and double check where you intend to drill a hole, BEFORE you drill the hole ... and find something you did not want to find.

Here's the type of outlet I installed: single outlet

We have one on our trailer. Never seen a trailer without a hookup.

Some of the comments don't seem to realize kackeer is referring to an cable OUTLET not the input connector.

OK, you're right, I misunderstood. On the outside of my trailer, there are INPUT hookups for satellite, cable, and telephone, but no place to hook up a television that would sit on a table outside the RV. We never had a TV outside, so that didn't register correctly. Sorry. Guess I learned something today. It probably would be fairly easy to install an outlet somewhere that you could easily get to the backside, like inside a compartment adjacent to the hatch.

In the fall when camping on the weekends, I always enjoy watching football out under the awning while having a cold one. I still can, as I use a splitter coming off the cg cable box. Run one to the cable inlet and another directly to the tv under the awning. By doing it that way, I just have another thing for someone to trip over.
