I have a 2014 314 BDS and my outside fridge has a thermostat on the outside. You have to be connected to shore power for it to work. Mine did not work even if connected to shore power. I ended up finding a VIN for an older 314 BDS and emailed Jayco for the schematics. They will not forward you them if your Jayco is still under warranty, what a bunch of BS.

Anyways my issue was that my outside fridge outlet was never connected to the outlet in bathroom as per the schematic. The wire was tucked far back so I needed a very bright light before I could see it. Once I connected it all was well.

I have a 2013 Eagle 314BDS and this is the outside fridge I have.
There is a dial inside the door on the upper right corner to adjust the temp, but my unit will only power on or operate when plugged in to 120 volt.
It will not power on or operate with 12 volt/propane like the indoor fridge.
