Outside Outlets Lost Power

Jayfeather 26bhsw was doing fine playing the TV and powering the satellite receiver using the outside power outlets.

Ran for 4 hours with no problem. We powered down generator for a couple of hours and tried to watch TV again and lost power to only that outlet. Everything else is fine.

I flipped every circuit breaker off/on, turned off generator again but no power.

Any ideas? 12v and A.C. power is on everywhere else.

Sounds like the gfci popped. My reset button is in the bathroom receptical. See if it’s tripped.

Check your GFI outlet(s). IIRC, our outside outlet is through our bathroom GFI. It may be different on your trailer.

BTW, to reset the breakers, your need to press the breaker to the 'off' position and then back to the 'on' position. If a breaker trips, just flipping it off (no pun intended ) won't reset them.

Did you try a reset on the GFCI for the receptacle? Also, just in case you aren't aware, the reset on a GFCI receptacle will only work when there is power to it.

Thanks...it was the GFCI in the bathroom. I didn't notice but I had several outlets out. Once I realized this, I turned the genny back on and was able to reset the bathroom' s outlet.

That's one that only happens once, forever after, when pwr is out at a receptacle, you will never forget to reset the GFCI.

On another rig, I mapped which outlets were fed out of the GFCI.

Also I tripped my ac breakers one at a time and made a map of the outlets and which breaker was fed by it.

In a rv, most outlets will be on one or two breakers.

Early in camping in our trailer, we were close to our 30amp limit. I cautioned my DW that we'd need to shut off something in the trailer before she used her hair blow-dryer after her shower.

A bit later she went outside and suddenly all the power died.

She plugged her dryer into one of our trailer outside outlets because she knew inside we were close to the limit.
