Outside Stovetop

Hi, We just moved up from a pop-up camper to a 24FBS and we are looking for an outside stovetop (not grill) that would hook up to the direct gas line on the outside of the trailer. I think I would put a table down and place it on the table using a longer cord to make the connection. If you have done anything like this please add pictures! Thanks!

There is a sticky over on campfire cooking all about hooking up stovetops and grills to direct gas line. Good luck!

I wanted something more portable than being connected to the propane hose so I use (2) butane stove burners. I can use the picnic table or the beach or a neighboring camper. We use it at home also and on picnics. I got rid of the stove and gained valuable counter space.

We contacted our Jayco dealer last year and asked about purchasing the new model pop-up camper stove. Since it was new, they would not sell it as a replacement part yet. That may be something to look into, since you are familiar with them.

Here is the photo:

We got a price of almost $550 for the Jayco Carry-Out stove. Ewingfamily, what price were you quoted?

In 1992, we got a Jayco pop-up that came with a stove that you could take outside and hang on the side. We NEVER used it, outside or inside. Always took a 3 burner Coleman stove and used that on the picnic table or our folding table.

But then I have never used the toilet either, I just go to the campground facility.

Every once in a while, you will see one on E-Bay. The last couple I saw went pretty steep. Must be a lot of interest since they stopped making the hang-on style.

I modified and cleaned an old green Coleman gas camp stove that we used for years. I converted it to work on propane bottles.
Last week I took it out of the camper cause it had not been used in several years.

Coleman XL - Multipurpose!

We travel with a Coleman XL because it is (If you buy the parts) Multipurpose. It's primary function is as a grill but I also have two stovetop rings that replace the BBQ grills as well as single burner and double burner griddles.

The griddles are awesome for breakfast, I use them for pancackes at least once every trip. And the stove top rings mean I can BBQ steaks on one side while boiling corn on the other.

Holy cow, Firebugman! They wouldn't give us a quote, since it wasn't yet available as a replacement part yet. I am going to call today to see what they say!

Purchased it today! Same part number as Firebugman gave. Quoted the retail of $279.06 and got 10% off for a price of $251.15.
I ordered through Fretz RV in Souderton, PA.

Happy Camping!

I just bought a 2016 JayFlight 27BHS that has a 2 burner outside stove top. You can have it if you pay for shipping. Anyone else interested can have it if you pay shipping too.

I haven't taken it out of the TT yet and it's snowing pretty heavy right now. I'll try and take it out tomorrow and go to a UPS store and figure out the shipping costs. If you know someone who has a UPS or FedEx account it will be much cheaper to use that account instead of me walking up to the UPS Store.

I know this is an old thread but I have a few questions. I just got off the phone with a local Jayco dealer. He told me the part number is still good. He also read me the description of the part in the computer. He did not have a pic of it to verify it is what I'm looking for. I'm going to call Jayco Corp tomorrow and see if they can email me a pic of the part. The dealer parts man did caution me that other parts may be required in order to functionally mount the stove on the rail. My questions are did you have to order additional parts or modify the stove in order to get it to counter balance on the outside rail? Could you please post a pic of how it fits on your trailer? And lastly, the dealer told me a VIN number is required to order this part. Did you need to provide a VIN and if so what did you use and where did you get it?? If I give them mine it won't show as a valid part for my trailer.

Thanks for any and all assistance!
