outside towel hangers

So, I've been using command hooks all over inside the trailer, including the "bathroom" ones in the shower to hold loofahs, etc. I need to do something to hang wet things outside - the towels from the pool/beach, wet bathing suits, my husband's fishing waders, etc. I saw a picture online where someone just put suction cups directly onto the side of the trailer for this purpose.
So my question is, has anyone done this? Could you leave them there while traveling (I'm thinking back of the trailer, right next to the outdoor shower, not on the side). Or maybe the "bathroom" command hooks outside since they would get wet if I left them on all the time.
I'm worried about the finish on the outside of the trailer.
Thoughts?

I forged a steel rack with hooks that attaches to our factory outdoor TV mount for hanging items such as wet towels, etc.

Our htt's exterior is white fiberglass. I installed a few white decorative command hooks outside. I use the interior foam adhesive, not the exterior style. Did it in 2012, they are still holding up nicely. I did notice this past fall the hooks are starting to fade.

I hang all kinds of stuff on them.

I made one that hangs on the ladder. It is very handy but with just the 2 of us, I quit carrying it.
mine is a copy of this: http://www.happy-wanderers.com/techn...vc-drying-rack

Another choice for the rear bumper is this one that we bought.http://www.campingworld.com/shopping...thesline/67676 The brackets stay on the bumper, and you slip the poles on .

Of course, right now I can't remember where, but some campgrounds don't allow you to hang towels and such off your camper. They think it doesn't look nice. But when we can and need to, we just hang things over the ladder rungs. (There are only two of us, so it works.)

We bought a collapsible drying rack. Its light holds a lot and works great. With 5 of us there are a lot of towels, bathing suits, wetsuits, etc.

What did you use to attach this to the rear bumper? Also what are the dimensions of the PVC?

Thanks

Mark, the holding brackets are made with a 4" U bracket to fit around the bumper with 2 square pieces of metal [rubber underneath as to not scratch the bumper] and 2 smaller clamps to hold the all-thread. I bent the all-thread at a 45* angle up. I think the total all-thread length is around 12". I wrapped the all-thread with some gorilla tape so the 3/4"PVC would have a snug fit. Like I said in my PM to you you could probably go out and buy something that would work but I had this stuff laying around so I just made them. Click image for larger version

Ditto on the collapsible dryer. One advantage is that you can move it around so that it gets sun which helps things dry faster.

Sit tight. I have a buddy developing a new product that does precisely what you are talking about. It is not held to the siding with suction cups, and doesn't alter the surface finish at all. No hole drilling. It's adjustable, and folds out of the way when not needed. Secure. Simple. Inexpensive. I'll post when I have more info.

Some don't like or allow you to run line between trees creating wash lines. But I haven't had any tell me I can't hang towels from my trailer.

For me a towel over the spare tire, and another over the propane cover. I also carry a rope with clothes pins, but haven't had to string it.

Depending on the sun location, I have also used the awning braces.
