Pea trap
Simple question:
Is there a pea trap in the shower or does it just drain into the tank?

Yep. There is a P-trap beneath the shower drain, kitchen sink, and bathroom sink. They keep the tank odors from coming into the trailer. Only exception is the toilet, and it uses a ball valve to flush.

It will be below the tub drain. Most will be in a hole cut in the floor, and behind a removal panel.

Wow, interesting. I can't imagine how someone would get to mine but good to know. I winterized the camper but still use the shower with a "basecamp" portable propane shower unit. Now I know to pour antifreeze in it when we leave.
Thanks everyone.

Cheap seats! That's a hoot! Do only the ceramic commodes have the ball valve flush mechanism? My Outback had the ceramic commode, too.

Yes, cheap seats. I've got about $15K tied up in my RV while many others have spent $70 to $150K (or more) on theirs.
My toilet, along with the vanity and kitchen sinks are plastic.
Sitting in the Cheap Seats and proud of it! <---gonna add that to my signature.

As hobbies go, RV's ain't bad. Boats, horses, fast cars, mistresses... get very expensive very quickly.
But as the owner of a 19RD, I feel like I'm watching the game from the nosebleed section while sharing the action freely with those that have paid for a skybox (Class A MH's).

We have a ceramic toilet, but I am pretty sure there is a slide type flush mechanism on it.

Not seeing how a boat is worse than an RV. I've got both, insurance is higher on RV, gas usage is higher on the RV, initial cost is higher with the RV, daily use cost is higher on the RV (CG fees/food/etc). Someone "splain" this to me please. Don't say all the repairs to boats, as there are tons and tons of threads of repairs being done to RV's of all types.

Sorry about the accusation that boats are inherently more expensive than RV's.
Pure, unadulterated, stereotyping on my part.
The fact that we boondock on land we are going to put a house on, using a trailer, makes our RV'ing costs comparatively low.

When I had sail boats and motorized boats, the costs seemed higher because I did not use it as much as the rv.
Every time I look over at a marina, it is full of boats that do not get used. They seem more like status symbols or as they say, "A hole in the water...."

My boat was relatively cheap to operate, and A LOT less expensive than my trailer up front. So in my experience, I'd say the boat was cheaper, and I was most definitely in the "cheap seats" in the boating crowd. Between shooting sports, RVing, and now racing, I'd say I'm full up on expensive hobbies. Of them all, racing stands to be the most expensive. Someone else owns the car (my brother), but helmet, fire proof racing suit, fire proof shoes, fire proof gloves, costs add up quickly. And when you pay $200 just to get on the track, before fuel and all the rest, it can rack up quickly!!
Sorry to propagate the off-topic discussion.

Holy Cow I'm doomed then. I own a Tri-tune boat and a Pinnacle.
My toilet with the ball valve most times holds water, but my toilet in my old Eagle with the slide valve never let me down.

Pea trap, P-trap or Pee trap; homonyms and spell check. The bane of the English language.
