Picked up our new 2018 Eagle HT 324BHTS
After being out of RV'ing for nearly 10 years, we are back with the purchase of a new 2018 Eagle HT 324BHTS travel trailer.
Our last RV was a class A motorhome, but our two daughters were getting into their late teens and no longer wanted to camp, so we sold the unit for lack of use (spouse did not want to go without the girls). Now our daughters are grown and married, and we have 3 grandchildren, and they want to camp again!! We figured we would start out with a travel trailer and see how it goes.
We ordered the unit at the Hershey RV Show in September, and took delivery on 11-17-17. Will have to wait till spring for our first trip, so using the winter months to do some minor mods and stock up on accessories. Using this forum for tips and ideas.
Cannot wait to take it out on our first trip. It is a beautiful unit and we got a pretty good deal on it at the show!
Here we go again .........

Thanks to everyone for all the kind words and all the congrats.
Any suggestions on some popular minor modifications to make to the RV? Already plan on swapping out the analog thermostat with the coleman mach digital model. Looking for some other good ideas from those who own this or a similar model unit.
Have a long winter ahead with alot of spare time till spring!

We also moved from a Class A to a 5th wheel. I actually prefer the driving position and seat support in the truck to the "cushy" captains chair in the motor home.
This will be our (early) retirement RV, with plans for lots of travel in our early 60's.

Congrats! we bought the same unit last April it has been a very good camper so far. Only mod I have made so far was adding a 2nd AC unit as we had a 314bhds prior to this unit and it struggled with one unit sometimes. We snatched up this one at our local dealer at their show because it had the 50 amp service with 2nd ac prep. It worked awesome this summer. We upgraded mattress to a zinus memory foam which is great. And added some more tubing to the winterize hose on pump so I could hang it out back window and drop in a bucket to suck antifreeze in. I also swapped factory tires to Carlisle radial trail hd's. I had just put them on our old camper and didn't want to let them go with the old one. So I switched them to the new one. Other than that its been great!

Our unit has 50 amp service with 2nd ac prep as well. I am concerned about only one ac unit, and was thinking about adding a second unit. How difficult was it to add the second ac unit? Do it youself or dealer? Approx cost?

I had the dealer put it on before delivery so it would all be covered. I could have done it myself being an hvac tech myself but had them do it that way all we had to do was swap campers. I think it was like 700 or 800 for everything. Its like a meat locker now. We run both during the day and run a tower fan to help push cool air around. Then can usually just run the main unit at night. We close the vents in our bedroom to push more air to rest of camper when running both units. Since the front bedroom doesn't need the air from main unit when 2nd unit is running. 13.5k btuh in front bedroom and 15kbtuh in main unit makes it very nice!
