How was the drive around the Cabot Trail with that rig? I miss the East Coast just looking at these photos.
Is Woodhaven the Campground with the two x a day train? LOL
Thanks for posting.

@ Dagwood
We didn't drive the TT around the National Park section of the Cabot Trail. We had camped 2 days in Baddeck, then did the South portion of the Cabot Trail to Chéticamp. Parked there for 3 nights and did the Cabot Trail - National Park section back and forth with the Sierra only. It's less stressful and more enjoyable this way. Plus you can't always stop everywhere you want with the TT on that road!
Woodhaven is in Hammonds Plains (North-West of Halifax), we camped there 2 nights, and we never heard any train go by, but then again we didn't spend much time in the campground (aside from the sleeping period!!!). However, looking at Google Maps, I don't see any railroad tracks nearby!

If someone doesn't do the Nova Scotia tour in his life, he's gonna die missing something!
With an RV it's so fun to travel around the province... 3weeks is plenty of time to enjoy all the little spots in NS

Great pics! Where did you camp in Baddeck? We were there last week and stayed at King Neptune park near Peggy's Cove. What a beautiful place. Went to Cape Breton Island and did the Cabbot Trail which is amazing and then spent 4 nights in PEI. We are now in Quebec City for the night then should be home by Sunday. 3 weeks sure go by fast and there is no better way to see the country than in an RV.

Awesome pics. Make me thankful to live here in Nova Scotia. Next time make sure you go through Parrsboro, Advocate, Joggins and into Amherst. More amazing scenery.

Good thing and smart move. I don't know why I would think you'd try with that beast. Love LOVE LOVE the photos.

My mistake, we've stayed there as well but had our popup at the time. Ended up with one of those unlevel sites that required me to extend my BAL Leveller to the max. I have a buddy in Lower Sackville so this campground works for us.
I was actually thinking of this place in Truro >> http://www.scotiapine.ca/
I swear a train went by at 9am and 11pm like clockwork. Won't ever stay there again.
Man, I'm really lusting for another trip to NS now. We have family in Canso so it gives us an excuse to tour out east every 2 - 4 years. Next year is definitely on the list now.
How about the sea food? Did you fill up on it? Mmmm clams/scallops/lobster.

Our first night we camped in Amherst (Loch Lomond). Then we visited Joggins Fossils Centre.
We didn't do the Glooscap Trail given the time we had and the activity we wanted to visit unfortunately. That's the only part of NS that we didn't do (ie Joggins to Truro on the Shoreside).
We ended up taking the toll highway across the mountain (104 if I'm not mistaken).... CRAZY windy up there... I thought I was having issues until I noticed that other TTs and semis weren't going faster through that section than I was!

We camped at Scotiapine on our 2nd night in NS, we must have been really tired if there was a train going by cause I didn't hear anything that night...and we were on the road around 8AM next morning...
We didn't bring seafood back, we enjoyed it fresh while we were there!!!!
Digby Scallops, Lobster, Haddock (visiting fish plants gets you amazing prices on fresh fresh stuff). We also got fresh tuna in Baddeck, smoke mackerel and salmon, etc!
