Pigtails on Axles

We recently purchased a 2024 RLX 26 and there are wires with pigtails attached to both axles. We asked the service guy at Blue Compass what they were for, and he said he didn’t know. Any ideas?

Looks like they finally started using a weather proof connector. Those used to be wire nuts before.

Should have added.. Don't let that Tech work on your rig.

My 2011 rig came with those connectors. Mine have some kind of jelly inside that provides some protection to moisture.

Very obviously those are the brake electrical connections. I'll second Grumpy, is that tech doesn't know that basic fact, he likely doesn't know a LOT more...

Never use that RV center for any work on your rig!
Those wires are for the brakes.
Either that tech is super lazy or is uneducated on one of the most basic RV systems. If he does not know what trailer brakes are, he can’t be trusted to know about more complex systems.
