Plumbing problem

My name is Steve Rapatz-Harr and I have a 2017 Jayflight 24RBS. Since last September I’ve had problems wit the water pump running continuously and somehow my fresh water tank empties and ends up in the grey water tank with the sink and shower faucets off.
I spoke to two Jayco dealer techs and they told me there’s no connection between the fresh and grey water tanks. Yet I’m having this problem.
Has anyone had or heard about this same problem? I live in Minnesota and have the camper winterized by and stored at the local Jayco dealer. Thanks! Steve

The techs were correct in that there is no connection between the tanks, and it has been working okay since 2017. From your post it seems like the water is being pumped from the fresh tank into the plumbing lines and draining (correctly) into the grey tank.

Do you have an outdoor kitchen?

I have a outside stove, but can’t recall if there is a sink. I will check.

That would not end up in the grey tank.

Hmmmm. When did you have that dealer winterize your camper? Might it have been last September?
If so, I suggest there's a coincidental connection in events.

That’s an odd one. The only way anything should enter those tanks if via a drain in a sink or shower. Are you certain the grey fills or just indicates full. That being said, that water must be going somewhere. Seems it rarely go’s well when a dealer is involved in the winterizing process.

Water pump should have on/off switch....if water pump is running it sounds like outdoor kitchen sink is possibly on filling gray tank

Smile Plumbing problem mystery solved

It was the outdoor sink faucets they were open since it was winterized last fall. Filled the FW tank, turned off all faucets, the water pump went on and automatically shut off and the grey tank did not fill up. Saved a trip to the dealer. Thanks everyone who replied!
