Power tongue jack

We have a 31DSLB and the power tongue jack won't extend past a few inches. Our neighbor is a retired class A mechanic and took the unit apart. He put it back together after cleaning it up and it worked better, but won't extend all the way down. It hangs up due to a bearing ring being broken. Is this a user replaceable part, or is it simply better to buy a new unit?

Buy a better unit would be my option.
It was broke, you tried to fix, couldn't so get another.

Just replaced mine with a Bulldog. Nice upgrade; better lighting and handles 500# more than the other one. Good luck!

Buy a new one. The Husky Brute 4500 lb. is another excellent power tongue jack. Used it on my two former TTs.

It's a thrust needle roller bearing, probably less then $10 any local bearing supplier should be able to supply one. Guess it depends on how large your bank account is?

It's probably an oddball Chinese size and not ready available.
Got to ask yourself...how long will another cheap thrust needle bearing last? About at least as the old one.
Descisions, decisions.....

Bearings of all types are standard sizes and it's easy to find made in America bearings.
