Programmable Thermostat

Looking to upgrade the OEM thermostat to a digital, remote access one (Like a nest capable one). We have it parked at a RV site with internet and want to do some winter camping.

Any recommendations or pros/cons for this?

I have thought about doing the same thing. However, I do t think you can just swap it out because of the 12 volt system

That is what I found out. Don't really want to try and convert 12v to 24v power to it just to get a wifi thermostat. Thanks for responding

I just installed the one from MicroAir, they are a little pricey but it was a direct wire for wire replacement for ours, is fully programmable, bluetooth and wifi. They were having a sale when I picked mine up, not sure if it is still going…..code was CMEASY15

What model of tstat did you start out with? I'm fighting an issue with my Airxcel where it will intermittently rest itself to 72F. I attempted to source the isolation relay kit from the manufacturer as well as Jayco, however, have been informed that it's no-longer available.

x2 here for both the living room and bedroom thermostats in ours...going on a year and very satisfied...they are bluetooth only, thus no wifi remote monitoring or configure, but works great for us...

I had the standard Airxcel 9630-336, the Bluetooth unit is 9430-3543. The MicroAir unit has many more features and is a lot easier to use. I always hated having to cycle through the Airxcel unit to choose your setting, have the time it took 2-3 tries as I kept passing the one I wanted The Micro air also gives you WiFi which gives you access from anywhere provided there is wifi which I have in my motorhome.

Does this control the furnace also or just the AC?

Yes it controls AC/Heat Pump, Furnace and Heat Strip if you have one and combinations of any of the available sources. The manual is online to view.
