I just bought one of these and it seems to work well. I still only use one tank at a time but it makes the DW happy.

Having the tanks on a slide out drawer on the 5er's makes changing and checking a PITA, so I went with the Mopeka and I love it. You can set the tank size on the app per monitor and relabel to match you tanks.

I find it very accurate and spent the extra 10 bucks to include the inside mount monitor.

The purpose of having two tanks with an automatic switchover valve is exactly the reason discussed here. It eliminates the need for a guage.

Check that appt valve every week or each time you camp. If it’s red then flip it’ll the switch over and get the other tank filled.

If you don’t have two tanks then instead of buying a guage, get another tank and auto valve. Same cost and you get extra propane capacity too.

Everything else is simply ridiculous unless you need to save weight for whatever reason.

When I was looking to get one it appeared to me that the Dometic model was a rebranded Truma.
I found the Truma first through their advertising, but when I bought mine the Dometic was less than half the price of the Truma on Amazon. The Dometic knock off works fine; saw no reason to pay more for the Truma.

Propane tank sensor on 2021 nirthpoint

We just purchased northpoint 310rlts. It has 3 40lb tanks. Are there sensors on these tanks or do I have to purchased them? On the JAYCOMMAND there’s a screen for adding propane. I saw the Mopeka sensor, but has to go on bottom of tank. Not to easy with a full tank. Guess I’ll use the old school way......hot water.
