Propane Grill hung on the outsde of the camper

We have one of those grills that attaches to the side of the camper but when I plug it into the propane quick disconnect the grill gets no gas.

I am wondering if I need to remove the regulator from the grill itself since the camper tanks have regulators.

Can anyone give some advice on this ??

ps. yes I have opened the quick disconnect valve and also looked to see if there was any blockage but all is clear.

If it attaches to the trailer and has a quick connect attachment it shouldn't have a regulator? Are you getting gas in the rest of the trailer?

There are two little levers that have to be moved in lie with hose. One at each end then gas should flow.

+1 to Derek's comments. If your hose has shut-off valves like the one in the picture, turn it so the handle runs in line (parallel) to the hose itself. It may have one of these shut-offs on both ends, I know mine does.

Some grills will not put out enough heat on low pressure regulated gas if the have a built in regulator.
There are loads of threads on campers that have modified them to work.

Best left to the pro's if you are not comfortable working with gas.

If the grill has a regulator on it, it will not work unless you connect it directly to the 20lb tank. Your TT already has a regulator on it and having two in line is a no-go.

If both valves are on, inline, then check the fitting where you plug the bbq hose. Mine was filled with dirt. Cleaned it out with a toothpick and the gas flowed.

There are incompatibilities between certain brands of fittings. They will snap into place, but do not actuate the internal plunger in the female fitting. There's a stickie on the forum that I wrote pertaining to grills and quick connects.
