The proper speed for towing is to stay at least 50 yards ahead of or behind me.

Hah - nobody does that. Especially with the big trailer, they suck up behind the box or swing back in the lane not 10' off the front bumper. Learned real quick why semi drivers hate 4 wheelers.

Yeah, nobody.

He said "proper". Who do you know that is proper these days?

When I was a youngin, we respected truck drivers. They were respectful and drove responsibly.

Not any more. They are all (well MOST) morons and drive irresponsibly.

That's why my RV is on a permanent campsite.

The safe speed to tow is the number that you feel safe to travel at. If you are going slower than that you are a problem. If you are going faster than that you are a problem, for you!
