Pulling fuse does not kill battery

I think your 12VDC wire that runs from the battery is wired wrong. I believe you said there is only one fuse and that is for the jack, correct? It sounds like Jayco left out the main fuse by the battery that should be in between the TT's battery charge controller and the battery. (see my pics below). The correct picture gives you full control over the jack, and power going back to the charge controller, but the breakaway switch is always connected to 12VDC as required (never fuse this link). The wire that goes to the TT's charge controller is probably wired to the hot side of the fuse, so it will always have power.

On the other picture (I believe this is what you have) the only thing that will lose power when you pull the fuse is the jack and the Breakaway switch, because of where they pick up their 12VDC. If you follow the "CORRECT" picture you should eliminate the problem by installing a new fuse. See pic

Important!!! When you rewire make sure the breakaway switch connects directly to the battery and is not fused. If you follow the "CORRECT" diagram, you will be ok.

Ecfeick - I have 2014 26bh. Dealer told me to removed the fuse but still the lights is on. So can you give me an idea how to hook up the switch. I been checking online but getting auto, and it made it looks hard to install.

All I do is disconnect the negative side of the battery. Easy, problem solved.

I'm pretty sure the 30amp fuse by the battery box is only for the power jack. I pulled it when we went camping for the 1st time last month so no one messed with the jack. The jack would not work when fuse pulled but everything else worked fine. There are two wires that connect to positive side of the battery on mine. I believe the wire with the 30amp fuse only goes to the power jack and the other, thicker wire, goes to the trailer... Maybe I'm wrong.

Mine has that same fuse.On mine it is for the electric tounge jack. I know because I blew a fuse first time I raised it too high.

I just got a 2014 28BHS and have the same fuse. The dealer told me that would disconnect the battery but when I pulled that fuse only the power jack was disabled.

The other positive (and thicker) wire routes to the front wall of the trailer and goes into a "disposable" breaker which I think is also essentially a 30 amp fuse. I could be wrong on this but during my walk through the tech told me about the breaker and pointed it out right after telling me the 30amp fuse in question disconnects the battery.

So in short the 30 amp fuse is for the power jack.
And the 30 amp breaker is for the trailer.

Check your trailer for a breaker mounted on the front frame cross member or front wall (outside).

He also mentioned it is a disposable breaker so I should look at getting a spare. Isn't a disposable breaker just a fuse???

I was told the same thing for my 2014 Eagle BHBE and my battery ended up dying.Brand new dead battery! All of you great folks suggested I get a battery disconnect since my TT is kept at a storage facility. I'm glad it wasn't just my dealership who messed up. Sounds like Jayco made a change and didn't notify anyone. I did notice that there is a fuse in the front right storage compartment. Anyone know what that's for? Would this maybe disconnect trailer power? I'm going to look for this disposable breaker in the AM whilst charging my battery and installing the disconnect.

This is what the one on my 281bhs looks like. This one is described as a resettable one though. Power has to be removed and it will automatically reset.

Certainly not what the tech told me but I wasn't impressed with his knowledge and he could be wrong. An auto resetting one would be a better idea.

I have a new 19H, when I removed the fuse, everything is dead. No lights, radio or anything. I am assuming that means nothing is draining the battery.
