Queen Mattress

Looking to get a new mattress for my 2012 Jayco 29 RLDS. It has a short queen inner spring in there now so I want to replace it with a short queen but I need a good mattress, I haven't had a good night sleep in the trailer since I got it. So I'm open for suggestion from those that have replaced their mattress and what you replaced it with and maybe where you got it
Thanks in advance for any help you can provide

A foam topper mattress from Amazon cured my lousy OEM for about a hundred clams.

Foam mattress's are relatively cheap now. I have a Temperpedic at home but opted for a Amazon Foam for the TT much cheaper and I cant tell the difference. I will never buy another spring mattress again.

+1 on never buying an inner-spring, at home or in the TT.

I will say that as a stop-gap, the mattress topper is a great idea. We went 3 years on the OEM Denver mattress with a 4" memory foam topper. Eventually though, we could feel the wood through the topper and the mattress.

I bought us a Zinus Sleep Master Deluxe 10" thick Short Queen earlier this year from Amazon to replace the Denver & topper (I trimmed the topper and put it in my son's bunk in the back) and never looked back. For the money, it's a SOLID value. So much so that I'm probably going to replace my $3K memory foam Serta in the S&B with a Zinus. Even if I have to replace it every 2 years, I still come out WAY ahead. Anyway, the mattress in the trailer is simply fantastic and I highly recommend it. We also have Zinus foam mattresses on my son's bunk bed (full bottom, twin top) and a day bed with trundle (2 twins) in my home office. All VERY comfortable, and a great value IMO.

In 2013 I bought a 10" Dynasty Deluxe Memory Foam RV Queen mattress. $349. Originally I put it in my old Skyline Koala 21CS. Moved it over to our new 23RB in June of this year.

We have always used a down mattress topper in our RV's. If/when I replace the mattress it will be with a sleep number.

We got the Sleep Master in 2016 too after a miserable 50 days.. What a difference. We did 120 days after the purchase and sleep better than at home.

We did the same thing (3" foam topper mattress) and it has made a world of difference.

We bought a RV queen (short) Brentwood Gel Memory Foam, 11-Inch from Amazon and loved it so much we got a king to replace our mattress at home. We put the foam on the existing box springs.

Agree with those who say buy a memory foam from Amazon. We tried adding a topper to the mattress that came with our Jayco without success. Gave up and purchased a Live and Sleep from Amazon and are very happy with it.

Doesn't look like it comes in a short queen but there are other good brands on Amazon. When shopping for memory foam, note the weight - my experience is the heavier the mattress the better the quality.

+1

The Brentwoods are excellent! We too replaced our home mattress with one after getting one for the trailer. They come in ALL sizes including RV shorts.

Forget the topper, just replace the whole lousy thing IMO...
