Question for 32bhds owners . . . with a reese dual cam

Simple question, what weight spring bars are you running, 1000, 1200 or 1500?

I am running 1200, I try not to load up the front pass through. No problems so far.

A little off subject.........;

Depending on one's loading habits (we all differ) the 32BHDS can be a heavy TT, and to insure that the TV handles it well one would want a loaded tongue weight in the range of 13% to 15% of the loaded TT weight. A 36ft TT lacking proper weight in the tongue could become a handful under less than ideal towing conditions.

I only mention this because depending on the actual loaded weight of the 32BHDS, moving weight to the rear of the TT could actually be taking required weight away from the TT tongue. Not to say that the 1,200lb bars aren't sufficient, but a brief visit to a CAT scale will tell one everything they need to know.

Haha Bob I knew someone would chime in on that!! We have had it weighed and still were well within our percentages. The bathroom and rear of the kitchen is where we put "extra things" and they are fairly centered over the axles. I guess I should have stated I don't put the extra weight in the front.

Great to hear that you have invested the time to weigh your TV/TT combination, great weight information to have!

I also hope that my prior reply will give thread "lurkers" a heads-up that weight placement is important, especially when one has a 36ft TT possibly weighing north of 9,000lbs!
