Did the one you received have a part number on it? If it did, it would he great to list it as a reference along with the correct one so that we don't run in to this again in the future.

Also, I have a new full hitch head assembly here if you would need me to overnight it to you. It's that new, updated design with the cap on top. I got it when they released the update and I never installed it.

No, there are no part numbers, but the new one is 3.75” tall, where the old one is 4”. The diameter of the new one is 2.25” (top) and 2.5” (bottom).

Thank you for the offer — that is very kind — but I think I’ll be OK. Worst case is I use the original, which actually was on pretty tight when I tried to get it off.

Friction cone (two actually) arrived this morning. Installed with no problems and I towed the TT around a bit to make sure it was seated good. The replacement was the exact same length, and the diameters of both ends were the same as the old one. The replacement, though, is blue. Thanks again to you fellow JOFers who offered advice.
