Question for owners of 32TSBH/32BHDS and possibly others

In the front bedroom on each side of the bed, below the closet on each side is a (for lack of a better word) night stand. You know, a place to set your glasses, alarm clock, cell phone etc. Anyways, my last TT had a very similar setup as this. However, in the area below the night stand each side had like 3 or 4 drawers. Very handy I might add. When we looked at our 32TSBH I noticed a lack of drawers, but every thing else was just as I wanted. I remember thinking that maybe inside the front storage area, they had opened them up (from the back) to allow for extra storage room. I was surprised when I opened both sides of the front storage and saw that this was not the case. My question is this, since there are no drawers on the front, and no opening in the back, what the heck is in there? Is it just empty space? I am guessing we are talking probably about 15 square feet of unused, empty, (I think) space. I am no carpenter, so if it is empty, adding drawers to the front is not an option. But, opening it up from the back could prove very useful, because as we all know, storage is at a premium! If any one has ever looked in to this let me know. TIA

Just went out and looked at mine as you had me wondering. I too have the front bedroom with the night stands. But all the space beneath them is part of the front pass through storage compartment, none is wasted.

The Jayflights with the front bedroom all seem to be similar in that respect.

Now it has me thinking that perhaps they enclosed it in the pass-through storage when they shouldn't have. Perhaps a email to Jayco is in order.

Can you post some pics? Mine is a 2010 so perhaps they changed things since then.

That would not be possible on mine as the nightstands are directly over the outer storage doors. If the area was enclosed, the doors would be blocked.

I guess it depends on the height of the night stand, at least it does on my '05' Eagle. I have one drawer at the top of the night stand (height of the mattress) and the space below accommodates the pass-thru storage.

No drawers on mine Bob, but the pass through storage goes all the way up to the top of the nightstand. Looks like they could have put a drawer there if they made the storage lower there. The top of my nightstand is about even with the top of mattress IIRC.

It is part of the storage, though there IS room for one drawer at the top. I plan on doing this next time I have access to a table saw.

Hmmm, never thought about it, but I'm probably the exception because I think my 32bhds has enough storage.
