Question Regarding Black Water Tank Leak
Hello,
I have run into an issue with my 2007 Jayco 31BHDS where the black water tank is leaking. I can see it dripping from right near where the drain is. Right after the drain is where the drain valve is, but I dont see it leaking from there. Does anyone know if there is a gasket where it drains? Or if I order the drain valve kit, is there a gasket in there that goes in there?
Please see pics and I really appreciate any info that is out there!!! Thanks very much!

Replacing the drain valve may not fix this. You may have to remove the 4 bolts that all the drain valve to come out in order to access the fitting that attaches to the tank.
I have no detailed knowledge but I do know that you need to drain and flush the tank before beginning.

It doesn't appear to be the valve, but where the fitting was glued to the tank. I'd drain it, clean it up, let it dry and use FLEX SEAL.

Looks like a standard PVC slip fit joint, which would be glued. I second the idea of draining, cleaning, and apply some sort of external sealant.

Between the tank and the valve is a short piece of glued pipe. In your case it looks like a poorly joint. Lot of work to fix it correctly. I second trying something like flex seal or another magical sealant.

There is a type of plumbers I call it Epoxy in a plastic stick container at the HD that you remove a small portion and roll it/kneed it until it turns grey that plumbers use sometimes on leaks that may work better than Flex Seal. It dries hard. I have used it on home pipe leaks. Works very good.
