Questions

What is best to clean the aluminum siding. Do you use Dicor self leveling caulk on the roof? I just bought a 2013 26RLS and the previous owner did not maintain the exterior very well. Black streaks are almost baked in. Need something heavy duty to clean it. My other sob rigs were 5th wheels and fiberglass and I used awesome on but awesome does not seem to cut it-I do have an electric pressure washer but I have never used it on my rigs. Do you use Dawn on the roof? Anyone know what the bolt torque for the suspension parts are? (Spring hangers, rigid equalizer etc.)
Thanks in advance for your thoughts and info.
Steve

Can't help much with the aluminum and getting the black streaks off. Some stuff will eat the finish off so I don't want to make a suggestions. I'd still steer clear of the pressure washer. On the suspension, usually 40-50 ft pounds I believe. On the roof, dicor 501 is fine whether it's an Alpha or a Dicor roof, it's usually all compatible. Don't remember which roof is on that year model. You can use Dawn on the roof with no problem, spic and span etc. Some have their own recipes as I do.

I have found that WD40 sprayed on a old rag does a good job of removing black streaks. As weired as it sounds it works.

Love this stuff, compound first & cleaner/wax second. Local detail shop uses the stuff by the cart load (Walmart)

I use "Boat Nine", which I buy at West Marine. Its a high strength version of 409.

I use Totally Awesome to get the black streaks off. It really works well and it's very CHEAP! I get it at The Dollar Store or Dollar General - I can't remember which one (it's nearby the house so I don't have to remember the name, lol).

Good info. I need to clean the trailer one last time before it gets too cold and I have a few minor black streaks to deal with.
