Questions: hooking up Direct TV to our JayFlight

We are trying to run our direct tv box to our 13 Jay Flight and can't get it to work. No signal. Connected dish to outside of camper. We have the connectors in the camper by the TV that have port A and B. Says hook satellite receiver to port A and then no instruction from that point.

We hooked satellite in to port A and satellite out to port B. Still no signal. Any idea what we are doing wrong?

I assume you are positive you are on a satellite?

We unhooked everything and hooked it up again and got it searching for a signal. Now the real fun begins!

For satellite, you don't connect anything to port B. Port A goes to the "satellite in" port on your DTV receiver, then "out to tv" on the DTV receiver goes to your TV coax connection.

If you are having trouble getting a signal, go to dishpointer.com and plug in your zip code or address for coordinates. You'll probably want to aim for the DirecTV 101 satellite, that what we use. It transmits most local, premium and satellite radio stations.

One point to note here. If you have a second TV as in the bedroom you must connect the TV-OUT from the satellite receiver to port "B" and be sure the antenna amplifier is off. Then main TV connects as it would for using the antenna. The splitter in this receptacle feeds the second TV.
