rain gutter extensions

Any one have a good fix for rain gutter extensions for my jayco travel trailer? Water draining ut leaves ugly water stains on side of trailer. Tried some after market ones(extensions)from camping world, but did not install as it required stripping off a lot of the weather sealant and all around gutters, seemed too sketchy and afraid of creating leaks.

Clip a spring loaded laundry pen on all four. I left them on all the time and if I lost one I just replaced it. I used them for years but this unit has the extended spouts.

I too used the cloths pins and they work well and hold during travel fairly well. Plus they cost a whole 3 cents!

So by clipping the clothes pin on the end of the rain gutter it will deflect the water away from the side of the trailer?

Not as good as the long extensions but they work well. I bought long extensions once that just clipped over the short ones but they didn't stay on very long. I haven't seen them in a long time so suspect that they aren't made anymore.

On our last camper I installed Camco gutter extensions and they are still on going on 3 years. I did not have to strip any sealant off to install them. They look good and work well. I know because I camp with those who bought the camper from me lol. The new camper has built in gutter extensions that reach out further from the side.

Slip a pool noodle over the end of the gutter and direct the other end where you want.

Easy to put on and take off and also cheap.

I put the end in a 5 gallon bucket and use any water collected to douse the campfire.

On a hot humid day you will be surprised how much water you can collect!

Slip some foam pipe insulation over them. Make your extensions as long as you like.

Yep..this works well. I've used 5/8" heater hose too.

Did this (well 5/8" clear plastic hose from Home Despot) for the gutter that is directly over my outdoor storage door. Nothing worse than packing up in the rain with a steady stream of water running down your back...

yes I have had the same problem, besides leaving the dark water stain on trailer, I have been soaked by water flowing out over my outside forward storage too.
