Range hood exterior vent

Can someone advise how to open the exterior vent on the range hood? I just bought this unit 25RKS and my previous TT didn’t have this. I see the two tabs that I assume release it but can’t figure it out. It’s sll plastic so figured I’d ask before I broke something.
Thanks.

If it's anything like my 2015, they are DIFFICULT.

You need to press those tabs straight UP with your thumbs as hard as you can, then just a bit harder! The tabs are part of the the vent door. The door will pivot open just about the time you give up.
After I got mine open, I've never closed it.

Thanks oldmanAZ. You were right on spec. Granted I don't believe mine were quite as hard as you described.
Now that I know how the work I can open and close it with ease. Thanks again!

I've seen some.pretty crafty sparrows nose their way past dryer vent flaps. When I'm in storage or on the road the flap is latched
