Love my Maxair cover...I upgraded to the fan version and wow has it made a difference...I HATE running my air just to keep cool when it is in the 70s outside.

All of the Norcolds built in the last several years should have the little gray clips to keep it propped open. They are nice because you can travel with it propped as well if you are just moving it around. Like others I keep mine going all summer so it is ready if I get a wild hair (which has not happened this year...uugghhh!)

If I had mine off - I would never leave it closed. It gets a little musty and if there is any moisture, you might get mold.

I recently noticed those clips on frig and I figured they were for locking frig doors closed while traveling but I couldn't get them to work with the doors closed. Now I know, I have always used a frig door blocker I got from camping world, I guess thats not needed now.

It would be great if those little gray slide clips would lock the fridge door when traveling as well as hold it open when storing.

Yes - they will.

If your fridge is running, the doors should close completely and stay locked closed. If you are traveling with it off and empty, then it will also stay closed with the gray clips engaged.

Checked mine today and the slide clips would not lock the doors closed or in the partially open position. Moved the lock bracket that the gray slide clips go into and still would not lock so took off the bracket and enlarged the holes and now the fridge locks closed and partially open.. I like this forum you learn so much. Ernie

I never thought about leaving it running. I guess if you use the TT a lot it's not a bad idea.

I didn't think they would engage with the doors closed, but I'm going to make this mod also. This way I want have to worry about accidental opening while traveling.
