Refrigerator Problem

I have a question regarding my Norcold Refrigerator. A couple of days ago I hooked up my shoreline plug to my trailer in preparation for an upcoming trip. Usually when I do this, the next day my refrigerator is cold. Today my wife checked it and the freezer part was cold but the ice box was not even cool. I had the switch on automatic and set it to the coldest setting #5. Could it be air in the propane lines when I recharged the propane bottle, and if so why would that keep it from operating off of electricity? I went through the instructions to ignite the propane and make sure there was no air in the lines. The propane light was blinking indicating there was a initially a propane problem. Has anyone experienced anything similar?

Is the TT level? If you had it on AUTO, the fridge would use AC voltage when it was present. If you unplugged the shore power, the fridge should light on propane. If it fails to light on propane, it will give the flashing light error. I usually purge my gas by turning on a few stove burners for about 10 seconds but the fridge still may take a few tries to light.

You could have also tripped a safety valve in the propane tank if you opened the tank valve too fast. If your gas pressure is low at the stove burners, shut the tank off, open a stove burner for a minute or so to relieve the residual pressure in the lines. Close the stove burner then open the tank valve slowly and see if the propane is back to normal pressure.

No my trailer is perched high in the front. Would that be problem? I lit all the burners, but would the initial propane problem keep it from operating on electricity?

If there is one move the thermistor in the ice box higher up on the fins it's clipped to.

I'm pretty sure that if you're within 4-5 degrees, it's considered level enough. The propane shouldn't impact the fridge when in Auto and on AC. I'd check for leaks around the cooling unit. Go outside, pull the lower cover and look for greenish-yellow stain near the bottom of the compartment. If you see it, you have a leak. The symptom you describe sounds just like what we experienced when our cooling unit went out.
