Replacement jack knife sofa size?

Hi all, we have a new-to-us 2017 23RB and the pleather on the jack knife is shredding off. We want to replace the sofa. Under our sofa, on the right side, is storage and our furnace on the left. Given the heater's placement I can't just remove what I have and put in theater seats or a standard household couch.
I have measured it, several times, and it is 60" wide. The frame it sits on is 61.25" wide. The problem we are having is finding a 60" wide replacement. We have looked at different models and styles but we can't find a replacement jack knife sofa that is 60" or 61" wide. I can find models that are 62" wide. Are they the replacements for the 60" model? I don't know how I would get a 62" sofa to fit on my frame. Any help would be appreciated.

The same mechanism and framing works just the same. The stock ones were built exclusively for the model and make. Are they the replacements for the 60" model? I don't know how I would get a 62" sofa to fit on my frame. Any help would be appreciated.

I dealt with this with two identical models. You will get no real help from Jayco.

I went back and forth with Lippert too, just like everyone else with the peeling pleather. I loved the model, simple and easy in primitive areas with no worried about leveling for slides and trees anywhere I camped. You can actually buy the 62 inch ones and just move the end support out to the end of the low wall edge. Then use the front bottom panel that comes with the jackknife set and drill out the face for the heat vent.

The first one I hired an automotive upholster to redo mine with marine fabric. Great job and not too expensive before Covid.

My second one I recovered my sofa with fabric from Hobby Lobby. The cost of materials from the first job and the labor went up so much I decided to go the different route. I then replaced my dinette cushions with fantastic tweed replacement ones. I removed the stock seat foam and purchased a firmer marine foam for the seat bottoms.

Fantastic decision and well worth the small amount of extra versus having new ones made.

If you are handy, this is a great addition to the unit too, for more storage . I went to one of the major big box stores and purchased one of their kitchen cabinets and modified the bottom so that it would fit over the wheel well as you enter the door on your left side. I made a nice counter top for the hollow top. There is a similar door handle that matches the rest of the hardware at their cabinet hardware section and the door catch. The hinges are hidden ones and comes with the single cabinet.

Jayhawk, thanks for the sharing your experience with the sofa. I'll definitely look at moving the support out to the end of the pony wall and the space gained to allow for the 62" sofa. Hopefully it will be enough. As for the dinette cushions, we have already replaced them with fabric covered ones from RecPro. The new sofa will be fabric as well. With all the feedback I've seen here, I don't understand why Jayco (and Lippert) will not address this longstanding issue.

Great job on that cabinet addition! It looks fantastic. That space over the wheel well could certainly use a modification.

Their answer to the notorious vinyl peeling problem is move away from th vinyl and back to a cloth type cover, in their newest units.

As for the rest of you with the vinyl. "Yeah. Sorry about that. But, you can purchase replacement cushions/furniture from us, for top dollar."

Sadly during the untold numbers of email exchanges over several months with "us" the dedicated size and hollow bottom was not available in the length required in the 23RB. It was stated that the jack knife sofas were provided specifically to Jayco and applied to the specific layout without the slide. The heater is located under the end and against the drivers side wall and blows foward to the bedroom and aft into the kitchen and dinette area .
I did however come up with a fantastic offer as a compromise thru Lippert or Rec Pro? maybe someone in between as a referral, if I would purchase within 24 hours on the 62 " ones.
