Replacement Spring choices

Hello all,
So I am hoping that there might be a few people here that have upgraded their leaf springs on their rear bunk house/super slide tow behinds (314BDS) or similar. Camper is now 9 years old and has seen a lot of miles on the road. I broke a spring on the last camper and would like to prevent that on this one. Even worse we 5 people and me being an eagle scout, we bring everything!!! if you don't have it.. you can't use it! GVW on the trailer is 9250. I would "hope" I have 5K lbs dexter axles underneath. On the scale the trailer was around 10500 lbs last year. When on flat ground, the old springs sat flat or maybe reverse arched in the center. Yes, I am overloading it and this summer will be even worse as we are gearing up for a X country trip. Looks like my 2 choices are 4 leaf 25 1/8" 3k lbs springs or 5 leaf 25 1/4" 3klbs springs. I am guessing the stock springs where 25 1/4" as they measure about 25 7/8" now.
Does anyone have any experience going from a 4 leaf to a 5 leaf? I know it will need new u bolts (which should be replaced regardless).
thanks for any advice!!!!
