Has anyone replaced the jack knife sofa in the rear of a 212qbw? Wondering what people might have come up with.

One of the only things i did bot like about the 212QBW is the Sofa. Unless you are a midget, forget the idea of ever sleeping on it. I do understand that space was limited, but oh my. Problem is, it does hide i believe the furnace or hot water tank ( they say memory is the first thing to go with old age), i can't remember which,or is it both. I sat on that sofa many times thinking i i could incorporate something with the dinette to make a larger second bed, or remove the dinette and make a bar type area to eat at, because we rarely ever eat inside, and that huge side window is a bonus on some of the river side sites we were on. Well, never got that far, that tiny sofa was enough for me to say goodbye to the 212QBW.

heater

The furnace is located under the sofa. The cord storage is also in this area. There is very little room to change the floor area, unless you it is similar construction to the current sofa (open underneath). We removed the dinette and added a countertop with storage on each side. LOVE IT! I agree the sofa is too small, even when made into a bed. It would be great for a young child. There is not a lot of room for major changes without taking into account the location of the furnace.
