Replacing wheel bearings on a 2003 jayflight 31bhs

I am attempting to replace the wheel bearings on the trailer, and noticed when I removed the dust cap and started to remove the front bearings that the castle nut is held in by a clip instead of a cotter pin, which is also behind the front of the spindle. The clip fits in every slot of the castle nut, how do I remove the clip from the nut and get past the spindle? Trying to leave tomorrow for a 6 hour drive! Please any suggestions, instead of me trying to find an expensive shop, would be OH SO HELPFUL!

Sounds like my Dexter axles. The clip just pops off with a screwdriver. The back of the clip isn't completely behind the hub nut, it just has a small leg to hold it on the back of the nut.

At 1:20 in this video shows that clip:
