Returned from SE New Mexico outing

The family and I spent a week visiting Carlsbad (Caverns), and the living desert zoo. We also went to the White Sands area in Alamogordo and sledded down the sand dunes and spent a day in Roswell. It was very nice trip except the trailer now has dimpled skin on the front cap, one side and three cracks in the skylight due to a hail storm.
Note for further trips in the area is hail storms in May/Jun and all three RV parks/campgrounds we stayed at lacked grass of any kind. Our dog was not too happy about that.
Off to camping world tomorrow to see about a new skylight.

Sorry you got caught in one of our New Mexico hail storms....S*** happens.
Next trip to NM you might try northern NM for a major change of scenery from SE NM...more woody and hilly. Taos and Santa Fe are great!
Good luck with the skylite replacement---gonna try it yourself?

Havnfun-
Yes. I plan on doing the work myself. It should not be too difficult.

Sorry to hear of your troubles, mother nature is cruel at times. Our dog prefers the sand/gravel to the desert grass. For some reason she doesn't like walking on the types of grass that grow in the Southwest.

Our dogs are used to grass on the inner yard and dg in the outer yard, plus sand and rocks and cactus in the winter in the desert. But they have an odd habit of pooping on or in bushes if available. Makes it hard to pick up after.
