Roadside Assistance

We are considering Roadside Assistance with Good Sam club. Has anybody had experience useing them? Any advice about companies offering this service appreciated.

I have used GS roadside assistance for 12 years. No complaints. There are other choices but they all contract with local providers, many are the same ones. It all boils down to how well they treat you when you call with a problem and knowing what they cover.

I've had one good and one not so good experience.
The good was the Bride's dead battery in the parking lot. Guy showed up in about 30 min, gave her a jump.
The bad was a dead battery w/ the bride and I at a restaurant. Took 3 hrs before someone showed up.
It comes down to the local people they have available.

Warranty side, speaking as a dealer here, probably the best coverage and easiest to work with.

When the local supplier is busy then it takes longer... It is why I always carry a book... helps pass the time... not only waiting for a tow but at the laundry mat or solo at a restaurant etc.
