Cool Roll back tpo membrane on front roof section for roof repair

Getting closer to DIY repair weather. I see how you would remove the whole roof membrane - removing the awning and then the molding strips screwed on all along each side - under which the membrane is tucked/secured.

But, I only need to replace the one piece of plywood RIGHT across the front end!

So, what are my practical options for cutting/rollback?

Will I get enough working access (to remove and replace plywood) IF I make Controlled membrane LENGTHWISE cuts - an inch or so along each side - STILL ON TOP? I have 6 inch tape and dicor ready to use.

A better way, PLEASE ??
