Roof coating

About every 6 months I use a spray sealer/cleaner on the rubber roof on my 2012 Jayco Jaflight 29 RLDS. I was looking for something that will last longer. I found a product called Kool Seal RV coating. Has any one used it or know of a good product that I can use to protect the rubber roof for longer than the spray/cleaner that I have been using? Here is what I'm looking at

Kool Seal rubber roof topcoat is a white elastomeric that reflects sunlight to make coolling easy, even in the hottest climates. To guard against leaks, it provides a thick, seamless, rubber-like blanket of protection that expands and contracts with your roof. Kool Seal Rubber Roof Topcoat is the most flexible roof coating you can get for your RV roof. It's easy to apply with brush or roller. 32 OUNCE

Note: Covers 20 Square Feet

I would be real careful, some materials may not be compatible with your roof material and cause you big problems. If you want to use something like this I would contact the company that made your roof and ask them.

I would heed Sundancer's advice. Better safe than sorry...

I view these coating products as extreme measures. I would use one if the roof membrane was deteriorated, wearing thin, chipping/flaking or peeling (typically an aging or aged roof). Even then, I would use one of the more tested, "main-stream" products. 303 Aerospace Protectant is all I use after a wash with a petroleum free soap like Murphy Soap or Spic n Span.

303 is all that's really needed after a good washing and obviously the annual or semi visual inspection of the seals
