Roof replacement

Good afternoon. Have a 2005 Jayflight 31'. Needs a new roof. Have been quoted $3,500 for new if no plywood under roof needs re placed. $4,200 if all plywood needs replaced. Does this price sound fair, reasonable? Thx in advance.

First and foremost, welcome to JOF. I hope that your time here is helpful, friendly, and informative.

I haven't looked in to a roof replacement cost. However, on the surface, it doesn't seem outrageously out of line. Have you looked in to any of the RV spray roof systems to compare?

That is a reasonable estimate for a new roof. Our trade-in for our 2015 White Hawk needed a whole new roof. We did ask ourselves this question:

Does spending $3500 to $4500 make sense? The trailer is not going to increase by that much value being a 2005. Just a thought.

If the structure of the roof is still good, a lot of RV'rs here report great success using this.

I would do a search on tropicool and read some of the threads.

If I ever do mine, I will do a spray on roof.

Check out this thread. Several people have done the spray on roof replacements and been very happy with it. I think the price is comparable, or even less than you were quoted for the replacement roof.
