Roof thickness? Jayflight slx 8 245RLSW

I'm looking to mount solar on my trailer. The brackets from Renogy came with 1.5" self tappers. I'm a bit concerned if I use those there will be spikey decorations on my ceiling.

Your trailer has 3/8'' roof decking. I'd imagine it's around 3'' high at the peak but can't be sure though.

Pull the trim ring on the vent fan and you will see. My guess is at least 6".
